Active Youth (Empowerment of youth for labor market and active role in society)
Youth Information Agency Bosnia-Herzegovina (OIA)
To create a learning platform in which app. 1.500 young people from more than 80 secondary schools in 17 municipalities (across the country) will analyze the concept of Life Skills and Key Competencies, provide their feedback and experience it through the development and management of their own community small scale projects. Objective 1: To increase understanding of the concepts of life skills- and competence-based approaches in education, connections between education and labor market as well as the impact of life skills and key competences on future employment opportunities. Objective 2: To ensure experiential learning of young people through the development and presentation of own community small scale projects. Objective 3: To empower young people through the management of community small scales projects and acknowledgement of the value and meaning of life skills and key competences through a learning-by-doing experience. Objective 4: To increase understanding and gain support from the respective ministries, pedagogical institutes and local authorities for the concepts of life skills- and competence- based education and for the model of experiential learning used in the project.
